Kettler has therefore created a grade of wood which is superior even to teak, until now the undisputed no. 1 among the outdoor woods. Rotimber receive top marks in independent scientific test such as those of the Fraunhofer Institute. After testing of the resistance to dampness and weathering, it was classified as "cultivated wood species of resistance class 1".
